The Challenge

Find Your Influence was founded in 2013 when co-founders Jamie Reardon and Cristine Vieira embarked on a mission to develop a solution that would enable companies to easily scale influencer marketing. The company bridges the gap between influencers and brands through their FYI platform, full in-house video production studio, and FYI talent management company where they represent influencers across the lifestyle, travel, fashion, food, YouTube, and B2B industries.

Find Your Influence prides itself for being the first technology solution on the market to offer an influencer marketing solution. Although there are now a few similar platforms available, Find Your Influence stands apart from its competitors thanks to their mission to provide a full suite of services intended to empower both brands and influencers to forge meaningful collaborations and launch impactful campaigns.

The company’s three-person team consists of the director of marketing Michael Creel, VP of communications and PR Tami Nealy, and Digital Media Producer Mikey Campbell. Although the company’s marketing team is small, its co-founders and team members all have marketing experience, leading to a very creative work environment.

While Find Your Influence has never lacked innovative ideas to fuel business growth, they were missing the right tools to execute their vision. The marketing team knew investing in marketing automation was critical if they wanted to enhance their marketing and achieve their business goals for the upcoming year.

The Solution

Like many growing companies, Find Your Influence was short on the time and budget required to bring their big ideas to life. This inspired marketing team members Tami and Michael to look for a marketing automation platform that would equip them with the tools required to drive lead generation, distribute content through different funnels, grow their network, and expand the number of talent under management.

With Act-On, I can see that the email was delivered and know the open, click-through, and bounce rate. With that information, I can see who is engaging with our emails and whether we have any bad email addresses that need to be removed from our list.”

Tami first became acquainted with Act-On at a previous organization (where her team chose it to replace Pardot) and was won over by the platform’s ease of use. Although Find Your Influence’s leadership was strongly considering HubSpot, Tami’s positive experience with Act-On convinced her that it was the only platform that could fully enable Find Your Influence to realize its goals. “I told my team that I’d be willing to pay a premium  for Act-On because I’m just that comfortable with it, and I know that it’s a solution that delivers results.”

In addition to taking Tami’s enthusiasm for the platform into consideration, the Find Your Influence team was impressed with Act-On’s many strong features. The company decided to invest in Act-On for its seamless integration with WordPress, ease of use, and strong reporting capabilities.

The Result

Implementing Act-On has equipped the Find Your Influence’s team with the resources they need to scale their marketing, fuel business growth, and attract and engage more businesses and influencers.

One feature that has been particularly useful for the company’s marketing team is Act-On’s deliverability and engagement insights. Tami notes that this information gives Find Your Influence greater visibility into what email tactics are working and who is engaging with their emails.

In addition to tracking engagement on emails, Find Your Influence has been using Act-On to gain better visibility into the behavior of their leads by tracking website visitor traffic. The company has also been using Act-On’s forms to capture the required information to identify and nurture leads. Tami says that the company also plans to use the platform to practice lead scoring and create gated content in the future.

Although the platform is still very new to the organization, Find Your Influence’s marketing team is looking forward to exploring ways to leverage the tool as the business continues to grow. Tami notes that she is confident that Act-On has all the tools and capabilities the company needs to execute and scale their marketing efforts.
