Modernizes & Optimizes Email Outreach With Marketing Automation

BEAVERTON, OR–(Marketwired – Sep 21, 2015) – Act-On Software, the leading provider of marketing automation for small and mid-sized businesses, today announced that Travelink, one of only 11 appointed agencies for the Centurion level of American Express Travel, adopted Act-On Marketing Automation to better personalize its email campaigns and extend the company’s personal touch to its clients, at scale.

Travelink came to Act-On having run the business with a standalone email marketing solution. The system posed a number of limitations including inability to support the level of personalization and automation needed to build strong rapport and trust with clients. This resulted in Travelink’s marketing team not being as efficient and effective as possible. “It was clear that we had outgrown our old email marketing system,” said Sandy Schadler, Vice President of Marketing at Travelink.

Travelink evaluated several marketing automation platforms, ultimately selecting Act-On for its ease of use and personalization capabilities. Travelink’s goal in adopting Act-On was to build deeper, more personal relationships with its clients and ultimately generate additional revenue for the company.

Since adopting Act-On, Travelink’s small marketing team is able to execute a higher volume of marketing campaigns and can now measure the performance of those campaigns and attribute the results back to revenue. Travelink has also experienced an increase in opens and clicks on its email campaigns since leveraging advanced segmentation and nurturing capabilities.

Act-On has created greater efficiencies for Travelink’s marketing operations. For the first time, Travelink can create and execute weekly email campaigns. “From January through July, we ran an email campaign every single week in addition to our normal workload of advertising and marketing,” said Schadler. “We could not have done that without Act-On.”

Concludes Schadler, “With Act-On, we have a level of accuracy and detail in our performance tracking that we didn’t have before, with true representation of metrics, such as unique open rates. Our Gift of Travel reminder campaign got the phones ringing for our advisors, and that represents revenue that we might not have gotten otherwise.”

Today, Travelink is able to launch campaigns with greater frequency and now has the tools to optimize the success rate. Read the full case study to learn more about Travelink’s use of Act-On for personalized travel experiences.
