Two Hundred Year-Old Company Revitalizes Business With Act-On Marketing Automation

BEAVERTON, OR–(Marketwired – Aug 12, 2014) – Act-On Software, the leading marketing automation provider for small and mid-sized businesses, today announced that the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce (GPCC) has adopted Act-On to improve its marketing and sales efforts. Since implementing Act-On, GPCC has seen an increase in its volume of web traffic, sales leads, and revenue.

Historically, the Philadelphia Chamber relied primarily on sales to drive new membership, using conventional tactics like cold calling and direct mail to fill the pipeline. But the rapidly changing digital landscape made the over two hundred year-old non-profit rethink its go-to-market strategy — as the buyers’ journey evolved online and competition from external networking organizations increased, GPCC knew the time had come to transform its sales process, turning to Act-On to help revitalize its business.

In less than a year, GPCC’s investment in Act-On has paid for itself, and the chamber has seen huge improvements in its diminishing lead numbers, thanks to Act-On’s website visitor tracking, automated programs, and lead scoring features. With Act-On, GPCC has experienced a 10 percent increase in website-generated leads, a 12 percent increase in closed deals, and a 20 percent increase in total dues collected.

These results have helped GPCC to embrace change more easily, while Act-On Software’s service and support has also helped to make the transition possible. “Changing a sales culture is a challenge,” said Drew Kondylas, Leader of the Membership Sales Team at the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce. “They [Act-On] aren’t like any other vendor I’ve ever dealt with. It’s an amazing level of engagement and commitment.”

Read the case study to learn how the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce transformed its sales processes and went from a purely business-development focus to a long-term member engagement strategy with Act-On.

Atri Chatterjee, Act-On Software CMO and Drew Kondylas from the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce will share the details of the case study during their joint presentation “Marketing Automation: The Commerce of Tomorrow,” at ACCE’s 2014 Annual Convention on August 14th from 10:45am – 12:00pm at Duke Energy Convention Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
